The City of Emeryville has partnered with Waste Management of Alameda County to provide free recycling of household light bulbs and household batteries using LampTracker and Battery Tracker mail-back products. This will enable multi-family residents to safely recycle these items.

All orders must be placed by the property manager/owner/designated account holder.


  • Person placing the order is responsible for communicating instructions to residents including the location of the battery bucket (such as a lobby or laundry room) and for monitoring and returning the battery buckets and/or the LampTracker products.
  • Battery buckets and LampTracker products should not be left outside and should not be placed in a trash containers or trash enclosures.
  • Battery buckets should be placed in an indoor central location accessible to residents such as a lobby, fitness center, community room or laundry room.
